Short instructions for the installation of a monoblock for the reception of satellites with a distance of approx. 6° (e.g. Astra 19.2° East and Eutelsat/Hotbird 13° East).
To be able to receive all programmes without interference, the satellite antenna should have a diameter of approx. 75-85 cm.
The monoblock is mounted with the left feed on the satellite key (see picture 1), so that the right feed of the monoblock hangs in the air. The viewer stands behind the satellite dish and looks in the direction of the monoblock LNB.
The satellite dish is then aligned to Eutelsat/Hotbird 13° East, as this transmits a weaker signal. The right LNB then automatically receives the programmes from Astra 19.2°. The distance between the two satellites of approx. 6° is preset by the design of the monoblock. Fine adjustment can be achieved by moving the LNB forwards/backwards or by turning it slightly upwards/downwards, depending on the mirror.
Connect the receiver connections to the LNB and weather protection downwards. Further adjustment work on the outdoor system is therefore not necessary. The satellites are switched automatically by the built-in DiSEqC switch in the LNB, which is controlled by the receiver.
You then only need to make the DiSEqC setting on your satellite receiver. Which switching function corresponds to DiSEqC A or B depends on the orientation of the satellites. In our example, Hotbird 13° and Astra 19.2°.With an alignment to Hotbird 13°"Standard" (Figure 1): DiSEqC A for Eutelsat/Hotbird and DiSEqC B for Astra.
If the monoblock is aligned to Astra 19° (Figure 2), the circuit does not change. (DiSEqC A for Eutelsat/Hotbird and DiSEqC B for Astra).
ASTRA (19.2°) and Hotbird(13°) can be received with one LNB! The Diavolo Twin LNB stands for reliable and strong satellite reception. The low noise level ensures high amplification. Easy installation, because the distance is already predefined. The built-in DiSEqC relay takes care of switching between the 2 reception sections. It is designed for DiSEqC 2.0, but also works with DiSEqC 1.0 without any problems.
