MAG 540 is high performance 4K Linux Set Top Box
MAG 540 is the next generation of MAG models and powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 CPU with a brand new Amlogic S905Y4-B chipset.
This hardware makes the model much more powerful than previous STBs. The devices ensure easy and smooth playback of content in all popular modern video formats, including 4K.

Interface continuity makes it easy to integrate the model into projects that have previously used MAG set-top boxes. Infomir can integrate set-top boxes with CAS/DRM and middleware at the operator's request.
For local and large streaming operators
With MAG540/540w3, users can watch linear TV, video-on-demand and content from IPTV/OTT providers.1 In addition, the set-top box plays content within the local network and from external media. Operators can customise the device to offer users a tailored user interface and provide reliable technical support.
Linux 4.9, Amlogic S905Y4-B chipset, infrared remote control, 4K and HEVC support, 1GB RAM, 4GB eMMC, HDMI 2.1 port, USB 2.0, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
This Internet TV Box can establish an Internet connection via the Ethernet interface at 100 Mbps. A network cable is required for the connection.
Important to note:
- Before you want to buy a smart IPTV Set Top Box, please check with your service provider which version of MINISTRA they use. This is a crucial point that we would like to draw your attention to when purchasing IPTV receivers. This STB model only runs on Ministra v.5.6.9. and above
- To use the hb-digital WLAN-Stick HB45, update the Set Top Box software via the Ethernet port. Compatibility with WLAN sticks from other manufacturers was not analysed.*.
