Network Switch Ethernet 5 Port Gigabit DIN Rail Unmanaged 9–30 VDC

General information: The Network Switch Ethernet 5 Port is a Layer 2 unmanaged switch for industrial use. It distributes network signals reliably and requires no configuration – connect, power up, done.

Function: The device offers five 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports with auto MDI/MDI-X. As an alternative to the DC connector, passive power supply through the first ETH port is possible (Mode B, 9–30 VDC). This passive feed is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at or 802.3bt – a standard PoE injector or PoE switch must not be used for it.

Mounting note: The device is prepared for DIN rail, wall or flat surface mounting. The required mounting kit is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.

Applications: Suitable for high-bandwidth applications requiring a reliable data connection – in control cabinets, automation, retail or smart city installations.

Material: Rugged full aluminium housing with IP30 protection, grounding screw and mounting options for DIN rail, wall or flat surface (mounting kit required, not included). Operating temperature -40 °C to +75 °C at 5 % to 95 % humidity, non-condensing.

Technology: The switch supports a supply voltage range of 9–30 VDC via a 4-pin industrial DC connector. Non-blocking bandwidth is 10 Gbps and jumbo frames are supported up to 9216 bytes. Power consumption stays below 1.8 W – ideal for continuous operation.

Power supply: The scope of delivery includes an external plug-in power supply with 9 W output, providing 9 VDC at 1.0 A and connecting directly to the switch via the matching 4-pin connector. The power supply operates across a wide range of 100–240 VAC, features short circuit protection and achieves an MTBF of 50,000 h. The mains plug is a European Europlug (type C) and the cable length is 2000 mm. Please note that the power supply itself is rated for -10 °C to +40 °C – operating the switch outside this range requires a separate, appropriately specified power source.

Conclusion: Layer 2 unmanaged switch with five Gigabit Ethernet ports, rugged aluminium housing and flexible 9–30 VDC supply – power supply included.
