Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller
Hub 2 (4G) controls all Ajax devices to alert users to open doors, broken windows, fire hazards and floods. If burglars break into your home, Hub 2 transmits the images from the MotionCam detectors and notifies the security company of the danger. Constant monitoring by security cameras is no longer strictly necessary to know
what is going on.
- Compatible with Ajax MotionCam detector
- Authentication to prevent spoofing
- Signal jamming detection and encryption of the communication channels
- Tamper alarm
Uses Ethernet and two 4G SIM cards (switching in 4 minutes) to send alarms to the monitoring station and the owner. The device sends a notification in the event of a power failure and works for up to 15 hours on the backup battery. It checks the functionality of the detectors at least every 12 seconds.
Operating principle
Hub 2 (4G) in combination with a MotionCam detector: the motion detectors react to dangerous situations as well as to simple mistakes. A nanny could bring the children home from school and forget to disarm the security system, thus triggering an alarm. With Hub 2 (4G), you no longer have to worry in these cases or pay unnecessary charges for false alarms. Open an alarm notification from the MotionCam detector and see what happened.
Features
The central system of the Hub 2 (4G) uses Ethernet or one of the two SIM cards for the guaranteed delivery of alarms and photos from the monitored objects. The channels work in parallel and back each other up in an emergency. The compression and transmission protocols guarantee lightning-fast delivery of photo series even with a weak internet connection. Unlike video-camera streams, with Ajax you can make sure that monitored objects are safe even at an internet speed of 0.5 kB/s.
With Hub 2 (4G), you know immediately if a detector malfunctions, if it is removed by someone, if it is damaged or if its housing is opened. And even if the light suddenly goes out, the central system continues monitoring with the help of an emergency battery.
The central system of Hub 2 (4G) communicates with the devices of the security system using radio frequencies over a distance of up to 2000 m. The two-way Jeweller radio protocol encrypts all transmitted data. In the event of interference or sabotage, Ajax switches to another frequency and informs both you and the security service about the situation.
For the parallel transmission of the visual MotionCam data, Hub 2 (4G) uses the Wings radio protocol from Ajax. Wings builds on the high-speed Jeweller protocol, from which the best properties and features were adopted. This also includes the use of a separate Hub 2 (4G) antenna to improve the reliability of the respective channels. Wings guarantees the delivery of photo confirmations even with unstable signal strength. It uses the integrated algorithms for checking and repeatedly uploading data packets.
Safe automation at home and in the office
Increase the potential of your security system with Ajax scenarios to actively counteract detected threats and automate your routines. Set up a night-mode arming on a schedule, switch off all the office lighting automatically by arming the system, program the outdoor lighting so that intruders are illuminated when they trigger an outdoor motion detector, or install a sustainable flood-protection system. The system executes scenarios even when the connection to the Ajax Cloud server is interrupted.
Installation and setup
The installation of the Hub 2 (4G) takes only a few minutes. Establish a connection to the internet and connect the power cable. Then scan the QR code with the Ajax app. In most cases, your devices do not need any additional setup. Hub 2 (4G) works as soon as the system is online. With the SmartBracket holder, the hub can be mounted in just a few minutes.
