LC/APC to SC/UPC Adapter – Compact Single-Mode Coupler with Low Insertion Loss
The LC/APC to SC/UPC adapter connects two different fiber optic connector systems directly, without the need for an additional patch cable. One side accepts an LC/APC connector (angled polish), while the other side is itself an SC/UPC connector (flat polish) that plugs into a matching SC socket or SC adapter. This makes it easy to connect equipment, patch panels or test devices that use different connector types.
The adapter is designed for single-mode fiber networks and built for simplex operation (one fiber per connection). With an insertion loss of ≤0.3dB and a return loss of ≥55dB on the APC side and ≥45dB on the UPC side, it delivers low-loss, stable transitions between both connector types – suitable for FTTH connections, patch panels and test setups.
The compact housing fits neatly into existing cabling and distribution cabinets.
