General Information: This solar cable set combines 100m of 6mm² H1Z2Z2-K solar cable in black with 10 pairs of solar connectors (10 male plugs and 10 female sockets, MC4 compatible) for assembling your own photovoltaic cabling. Both components are rated for voltages of up to 1500V.
Function: The cable connects solar modules, inverters, array junction boxes and other components of the PV system, while the plugs and sockets form the detachable connection at the cable ends. The connection is protected against moisture with IP68; the NEC locking system can only be released with a tool and prevents unintentional disconnection.
Applications: The set is suitable for new cabling and extensions of PV systems on rooftops and open-field installations as well as for repairing damaged plug connections. The cable is supplied without pre-assembled connectors; it is cut to the required length by the user and professionally terminated with a crimping tool. The connectors are designed for solar cables with a cross-section of 4mm² or 6mm².
Material: The cable’s conductor is made of tinned copper; insulation and outer sheath are made of cross-linked, halogen-free polyolefin. In the connectors, the contacts are made of copper and the housing of UV-resistant PPE (flammability class UL94-V0); a PA coupling nut and gaskets made of rubber and silicone complete the construction.
Technical Details: The cable has a cross-section of 6mm² (class 5, flexible), an outer diameter of 6.4mm ± 0.1mm and is rated for -40...+90°C (standard: EN 50618). It is halogen-free, resistant to UV, ozone and weathering, and TÜV Rheinland certified. The likewise TÜV certified connectors (IEC 62852, UL 6703) reach a rated current of 39A with a contact resistance of max. 0.25mΩ and a rated impulse voltage of 16kV.
